Respite Care is available to those who need it. Quite often people come to Araglen House on respite if their main carer is away on holiday, for example, or if their house is being adapted.
Respite Care is usually paid for privately or with the assistance of The Health Services Executive.
Convalescent Care is very common and is provided to people who have just left hospital. This care is usually paid for by the individual or through the hospital under what is known as ‘transitional funding’.
We would recommend that you speak to the discharge coordinator in the hospital if you are seeking this type of care.
We are also registered with all of the insurance companies who will make a contribution to the cost of care on behalf of their policyholders.
