We respect our residents’ rights to their own religious and/or spiritual beliefs and practices (or abstinence from) and all denominations are welcome at Araglen House. Residents will be facilitated to observe or abstain from religious practice in accordance with their personal wishes. Mass is said by our local Parish Priest Fr Kenneally every Tuesday morning.
The individual’s quality of life is at the heart of our care ethos, and we encourage residents to play an active role in the decision-making process regarding their care and the running of the facility. Our approach includes the provision of support to families and friends, providing them with information and assurance that their loved ones are receiving the best possible care.
We would strongly encourage you to bring small items of furniture and pictures and personal items so that your room looks more homely.
Smoking inside in Araglen House is strictly not permitted on safety grounds. We will allow residents to smoke in two of our courtyards located in Bluebell and Primrose.
Alcohol consumption is permitted as long as it does not interfere with the medication that a resident is taking. It must also not cause issues for the staff or other residents.
Yes Araglen House has a number of large double rooms.
We cater for all dietary requirements.
Our TVs are equipped for 55 channels, however, we do not for planning reasons have the facility to install Sky Satellite dishes. We would suggest that you subscribe to a Now.TV type service which can utilise our fibre broadband network to provide access to Sky Sports type subscriptions.
The rights and diversity of each resident are respected which includes the right to refuse care. Safeguarding of residents is a key component of our service.
We encourage and welcome all feedback, so please do let us know if you have any concerns. Please be assured that we will treat all complaints and concerns with discretion and according to our policy.
If you have any feedback, complaints, or concerns please contact our complaints officer Ms Siobhan McCarthy, Person In Charge.
